ESN EPFL is a commission of Agepoly and the branch of ESN (Erasmus Student Network) at EPFL.
The principal goal of ESN EPFL is to integrate students who come to study on exchange into Swiss life and EPFL, in order to help them to get quickly used to life as a student in Lausanne.
To facilitate the integration of students on exchange, the Buddy Program has been put in place, which directly pairs an exchange student with an EPFL student.
This allows the student on exchange to have answers to specific questions, to have direct contact with local customs, to quickly improve the student's aptitude by speaking French, and to learn how to get along in Swiss Romande.
The committee organizes many events such as ski weekends, a climbing weekend, a wine tasting in local caves, a visit of the Aletsch glacier, a visit of Cailler's chocolate factory, city trips to Zurich or Lucerne, a raclette evening, barbecues by the lake, soccer tournaments and much more.
International dinners are also arranged so that students can share foods from their home countries.
Every Wednesday, pubnights are organized in the clubs and bars of Lausanne to give the students a chance to discover the possibilities for the night life offered by the capital of romande.
These evenings are co-organized by ESN Unil to allow even more encounters between the students on exchange.
