The AGEPoly is participating in a working group focused on the framework surrounding student assistant (AE) work. The working group quickly decided to focus on two distinct objectives.
The first: clarifying the hiring of AEs. Currently, a hire sometimes consists of no more than an oral contract. We therefore want each hire to include a set of information, such as the job description and the distribution of working hours, communicated by the teaching staff.
The second objective is to identify and clarify the different types of insurance/rights that AEs have, particularly in cases of illness or accident. For example, who is responsible for finding a replacement if the AE falls ill? Should a sick AE with a medical certificate continue to be paid?
In this context, discussions are taking place between representatives from the School's Human Resources, the Preparatory Center (CePro), the School Assembly, and AGEPoly.
