Resolution of the Extraordinary General Assembly of April 14, 2026

On April 14, 2026, an Extraordinary General Assembly was convened following a campaign by a group of students who had gathered enough people to request its convening. The agenda was:

  1. Welcome and explanation of how the General Assembly works
  2. Election of the scrutineers
  3. Support for the Palestinian cultural and academic boycott campaign & promoting it at EPFL
  4. Commitment to defending the exercise of fundamental rights on campus and, in this vein, financial support for students facing criminal and disciplinary proceedings initiated by EPFL following the Vivapoly counter-demonstration
  5. Miscellaneous

Monitoring the implementation of General Assembly decisions:

  • ✅ Publication of the resolutions adopted by the General Assembly
  • ✅ Sending the positions to EPFL management
  • ✅ Submission of positions to Gina Romero, UN Special Rapporteur
  • ✅ Send the positions to Amnesty International
  • Position statement on the revision of the Directive on the Recognition of Student Associations by EPFL (LEX 8.2.1), the Directive on the Recognition of Student Associations by EPFL (LEX 8.3.1), as well as the implementation of Regulations on the Use of EPFL Premises and Outdoor Spaces (LEX 7.1.4), requesting that they be brought into compliance with Swiss law.
  • Publication of a semi-annual report on progress made on these demands.
