It’s now been 10 weeks since we first started the semester. And we don’t know about you, but we didn’t see a second of it happening… apart from, of course, the ton of things that AGEPoly has offered you! And that, well, it continues! So we meet like every other Sunday for a more useful summary than ever of what is happening on campus. (With a bunch of hot deals at the end!)
Your turn to play! Design the new EPFL sweater which will be sold at the store! The two most popular designs will be used. “Why would I do that?” Apart from the fact that it’s super cool, the winner will win an iPad pro 12.9 inch 256 GB + 2nd generation Apple Stylus (thank you Poseidon!), so give it a try! And don’t take too long, the form closes on December 19 at 8pm.
The advent chalet!
The traditional AGEPoly advent chalet will be back on the Esplanade, from December 1st to the 22nd. The chalet offers different food and drink wonders every day, both at noon from 12 to 14pm and in the evening from 17 to 22pm . All this is made possible thanks to all the commissions / associations that are taking part, and bringing life to the chalet every day!
Blood donation:
This semester, the blood donation will take place on November 30th and December 1st from 10am to 5pm at the Foyer SG . Reservations are already full, thank you to all who signed up! Other opportunities exist to donate blood all year round, in particular at the donation center Lausanne-Epalinges (M2 stop “Croisettes”).
Initiation trail:
For a short sports break, join us on Saturday December 4th at 2pm at the Sauvabelin car park! The initiation is suitable for all levels (beginners included!). In partnership with Salomon, you will be able to buy trail shoes at discounted prices! A small snack will be offered, as well as goodies to reward the runners!
Student representation
Student – Direction Meeting:
The student representatives (delegates, members of the Faculty Councils and of the School Assembly) met the EPFL Direction on November 1st with the occasion of the Representatives-Direction meeting. This meeting takes place once a semester and allows representatives to discuss concerns of their choice directly with the direction. You can see what was discussed here : Agenda and PV, and the slides .
Ecological guidelines for student trips:
The EPFL Direction has put the new directive on responsible student and professional travel into consultation. The guidelines include ambitious measures in favor of the environment and of the protection of travelers. The representation team of AGEPoly will take a position on this new directive to give a student opinion. More information on the consultation here (EPFL wifi or VPN required to access).
EPFL Student Life Blog :
Student life at EPFL is an adventure, with different routes, side roads , dotted paths full of anecdotes, rants, laughs… in short, it can be told. To do this, EPFL has decided to create an online space for students to express themselves, made by students! This online media will include articles, videos and podcasts. All the more, contributors to this project will be paid at the student assistant rate. Take part in this great project by contacting: blog@epfl.ch! You can find more info here.
Catering – Satisfaction survey:
Since 2020, EPFL catering has been committed to promoting a healthier, local and responsible cuisine. Through this survey, the EPFL Catering Service (RESCO) wants to better understand the habits and sensitivities of its community in order to offer catering that is ever closer to its expectations. If you have 5 minutes to spare, give your feedback here.
Your opinion is valuable! Let’s get together to contribute to the better catering of tomorrow!
