Some rules regarding dining at EPFL were unclear to the student community. AGEPoly therefore created a form to collect the issues encountered and requested clarification from EPFL’s catering services. Here is the information obtained:
Second Service:
- A second service is available in the campus cafeterias. It does not contain animal protein and may be a different dish from the first service, depending on the available stock. It is not possible to choose the contents of the second service.
- There is no second service available at the food trucks.
Cutlery and Tupperware:
- It is allowed to take food “to go” in your own container, not just with the reusable reBOX containers. It is also possible to be served in your own Tupperware.
- At both the cafeterias and food trucks, it is prohibited for restaurateurs to charge or ask for a deposit for cutlery.
Use of Space:
- Working in dining areas, particularly during service hours, is not permitted. A project is underway to allow working outside of service hours in restaurants where this is not yet possible.
