Since some issues with the organisation of exam accommodations have been brought up to AGEPoly, we participated to bring these issues to the SAE\u2019s attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through a poll conducted in collaboration with Polyquity, and by interviewing some people who currently benefit from accommodations, AGEPoly has noted the following issues:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The deadline to sign up for accommodations for midterms is too early. Indeed, the deadline is on the 2nd of September this year, which is before the beginning of the semester, and is consistently so.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The teaching assistants present in exam rooms are often uninformed about who benefits from what accommodations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Some professors refuse to accommodate students, even when those accommodations are accepted by SAC.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The software used on tablets (notability) often malfunctions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students only have the choice of tablets and not laptops for exams, making programming exams in particular difficult.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Next steps: meet again with the SAE in December about their progress on resolving these issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">For more info regarding exam accommodations: Arrangements for courses and\/or exams for students with disabilities and\/or chronic condition<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>1.10.2024 Le SAE (Service des Affaires estudiantines) a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de mener un focus group concernant les am\u00e9nagements d\u2019examens.
