These are loose guidelines intended to help delegates figure out what tasks they have to do from week to week.
WEEK 4
- Introduce yourselves to the teachers
- Explain your role as class representatives and what you can do to work together this week/semester
- Write down the dates of your TCs (Teaching Commissions), of the CdS (section council), of the AdR (representatives assembly) and of the Representatives – EPFL management meeting
- Go to the representative information session organized by AGEPoly
- Get ready to talk about and advertise the indicative feedback (retour indicatif), for example:
- Get in touch with professors in order to make announcements about it before their courses
- Shoot a video about the feedback with the other representatives of your section
- Have fun and be creative to get the highest participation rate possible!
WEEK 5
- Advertise the indicative feedback (for example: send a message on your class’ group chat, make announcements before or after class in person, send an email to your class…)
WEEK 6
- Talk about the results of the indicative feedback with the professors, especially those with a high percentage of negative feedback, discuss with them how to better the situation if they are open to it
- Prepare all comments and feedback to be discussed at the Teaching Commission
WEEKS 7 – 8 – 9 – 10
- Go to the Representatives Assemblies
- Go to the Representatives – EPFL board meeting
- Go to the Chamber of Representatives, and also to the AGEPoly General Assembly (AG) if you like
- Prepare for the Teaching Commission with the other delegates of your section during the ARES (section student representatives’ assembly)
WEEKS 11 – 12
- Prepare a spreadsheet containing all exam procedures (which means it includes the exam formats, the time and date of the exams, etc… any useful information about the exams!)
- Send the spreadsheet to your class once ready
- Organize pre-exam Q&A sessions for each subject/course
- Ask each professor if they would be open to the idea of organizing a Q&A session during the revisions
- Poll the class to get a time and date during the revisions that would suit the most students
- Present the dates to the professor and agree on a date and time
- Send the confirmed date and time to the class
- Make sure that the LEX and good practices are being respected when it comes to the exams, which entails that, among other things:
- The teacher has made blank and/or old exams available to the students on Moodle
- The teacher has announced the exam’s room and seating plan at least one week before the date of the exam
- The teacher has put in place everything necessary for students eligible for particular exam conditions (such as extra time), i.e separate exam rooms or seats at the back or at the front of the auditorium, …
WEEK 13
- Advertise the in-depth feedback (retour approfondi) of the courses
