Increase of tuition fees
On September 28, 2017, a proposal for a gradual increase of student tuition fees was proposed by the ETH Board. This increase would raise the fees from CHF 1160 to CHF 1660 per year with the gradual increases starting during the 2019-2020 academic year.
AGEPoly was consulted and took a position against this increase, which it considered harmful to the student community.
An active student information campaign was conducted to invite as many students as possible to speak out and debate the situation. Thanks in part to the proactive work of AGEPoly, the final decision of the CEPF was an increase of CHF 300 instead of CHF 500.

Mise à niveau (MàN)
The Mise à niveau semester was introduced during the 2016/2017 academic year to replace the Polymaths support course. It is for students who obtain less than a 3.5 GPA in the 1st semester of the propedeutique cycle. The purpose of the upgrade was to strengthen the knowledge and skills in mathematics and physics of these students.
The AGEPolytique team is attentive to the students’ feedback, as failure to pass the MàN semester will result in the termination of their studies at EPFL.
Vacation week during the first semester
The implementation of a vacation week in the middle of the first semester is an idea that would delight many students. After many discussions over the years, it appears that such a project is not possible at this time because it depends on national authorities.
