You know, the major construction site at the corner of the campus! It’s the RTS (Swiss Radio and Television) setting up there. We would have preferred a building with lecture halls, given the lack of workspace, but the contract was signed before Vetterli became President (more than 5 years ago), so it’s been quite a while, and back then, it wasn’t much of a problem. The goal now is to find the positive aspects of having the RTS on campus. The first is that they will rent some of their spaces, like a multipurpose auditorium for 200 people. Considerations are underway to allow collaborative courses with them (such as radio courses), or perhaps have better collaboration between the student community and RTS to promote certain projects. Reflections are still ongoing, and discussions continue.
